Vintage Painted Oak Sideboard

This good sized vintage oak sideboard by Jaycee, features the classic linenfold carvings on the door panels and solid wood handles. Two drawers over a large double doored cabinet with a midway shelf.

The top has been stripped back to reveal the solid oak surround and oak veneer inlay giving a two tone appearance. Sealed with a hard wax oil for lasting protection

The body is painted in a custom mix milk paint, to create a smokey blue/grey colour that has then been sealed with hemp oil to give it a silky smooth feel to the touch. This paint is perfect for antique pieces as it looks as if it belongs and a slight worn effect can be achieved to show off it's true age.

I have lined the interior with some vibrant paper to put a bit of fun in to what is a very practical piece of furniture.
